A Habit, Habits and more Habits…

A Habit, Habits and more Habits…

Habits form us.

Habits shape us.

Habits transform us.

Habits make us.

Habits teach us.

Habits change us.

Habits grow us.

Habits build us.

Habits develop us.

Habits turn us.

Habits keep us going.

Good habits and bad habits.

We all know all about the habits. We all share our own share of them. In one way or the other we have all been there, done that, we all have been affected by them, more or less, for better or for worse. It is what keeps us going on a daily basis, the things we do and the things we say.

We have been doing them, saying them routinely and automatically, even without noticing and realizing that we are doing them and saying them. It is said that for the habit to set in and to be form, it is required 21 days, 28 days if you really, really want to make sure it has reached home!

What habit forming do you need to work on?

Would that be to:

Ø Start exercising

Ø Start eating more healthily

Ø Start reading

Ø Stop smoking

Ø Start walking / cycling instead of using the car every time, all the time

Ø Start volunteering

Ø Stop working always over time

Ø Start enjoying the moment and relaxing more

Ø Start saving more

Ø Start spending less

Have you ever experienced the time when you begin doing something, and little by little, a day by day, a drop by drop, an inch by inch, a step by step you have become so accustomed, so familiar, so associated, so close to, so habitual, so ‘at home’, that you were not even thinking about what you are doing, how you are doing it, when you are doing it, where you are doing it, etc. etc.? This can be applied to habits that save us or in we would go in the opposite direction, the ones that literally waste us.

It is so easy for human beings to lower their standards, to lower their expectations, to get caught up with the daily day activities, work, tasks, homework duties and household responsibilities, that our lives slowly yet surely flow away through our fingers. We might not even notice it, not realize it happening. We deliberately don’t even know that we are doing so. Days pass by, then weeks, months, years and our lives, too, when at the end we reach the highest peak and wondering, … wondering where has everything gone, where has my life gone, where am I standing as a person?

Do not let that be you, do not let this to happen to you and also do not let any occurrence of this have happened to anyone around and everywhere!!

We people are creatures of habit. We are what we repeatedly do. We become our habits.

The meaning of our life is to find a reason why we are here and the purpose of our life is to then give it away.
