1% today, tomorrow 2% I am going to do!

1% today, tomorrow 2% I am going to do!

Ø How do we know that we are making a progress on our journey to a success?

Ø Is there any way whatsoever that could help us measure it?

Ø How do we know we are succeeding?

Ø What is the way to go about solving it?

Ø What has worked for you?

Ø What has not worked for you?

Ø What would happen if we make 3 phone calls a day? How would that affect our business in a year time, in a year to come?

Ø What would happen if we learnt 3 new words of a foreign language in a day? What level would we be in a year time, in a year to come?

Ø If we just improved a 1% a day, would that mean we have improved 365(6)% in a year time, in a year to come?

Being able to measure our successes on our journey is an incredible part of it all. It is a one way for us to see and journal about our progresses and to see how much we have grown since the beginning of our learning.

How else would we be able to record all that hard work we have been through, all that hard work and the time we have put in and on hold, all that progress and all that learning that have gone in and have been required along the way.

What are the rewards on and along our journey?

What are the fruits of our labour on and along our journey?

Is the pain of procrastinating too much of a bite, too big of a pill for us to swallow?

It is the stacking one thing onto the other that the real growing, that the real learning is going on and happening.

The real lesson has been learnt and enquired when we do just a step more each day that we did the day before. The experience, the learning, the knowledge we enquired from the day before has been stacked on the top of the one previously done by us.

There is a story about a professional marathon runner who has done just that!

Running each and every day just a little more than he did the running in the previous day. That is the way how we become successful in whatever pursuit we chose for ourselves to be challenged in, to grow into, to win over, to evolve with, to fight against, to run into, to overcome, etc.

Is there a task in your life currently that you have been working on, struggling with, looking for a way out of, looking and searching for a solution to it, looking for a piece of advice on, working towards for some time now with no real solution at hand at the moment?

If you really thought long and hard, what, in your opinion, do you think would help you to finish it all up now, at once, for ever, for good?

Would writing it down do any good to you?

Would talking it over with a friend of yours do any good to you?

Would sleeping on it do any good to you?

Would asking for a help of someone do any good to you?

Would having more time to think it over do any good to you?

Would asking someone’s another opinion do any good to you?

Would asking for a piece of advice do any good to you?

Would reading a book yourself do any good to you?

Would watching a film relating to your subject at hand do any good to you?

Would a wise elderly person do any good to you?

Would a playful, passionate child do any good to you?

Would listening to your favourite music do any good to you?

Would looking at a piece of art do any good to you?

Would a looking at the picture do any good to you?

Would doing art yourself do any good to you?

Would walking in the park do any good to you?

Would exercising at your leisure do any good to you?

Would eating your favourite meal do any good to you?

Would drinking your favourite drink do any good to you?

Would reading up on the topic do any good to you?

Would looking it up on the internet do any good to you?

Would helping someone else with the similar ‘challenge’ do any good to you?

Would volunteering your free time and resources do any good to you?

Would driving in your car do any good to you?

Would playing a sport do any good to you?

Would writing about it do any good to you?

Would journaling about it do any good to you?

Would chatting to someone you trust do any good to you?

Would anything at all help you, do any good to you?

Once you find your way, your solution to your challenge, and believe it – there is a way (always!!) – then and only then you are a halfway there. Half of your journey is right behind you, half of your journey is done by you and all you have got to do and concentrate on right now at this very moment is the rest of your journey, the other half of it all!

If you only did just a bit more, give more of your time, your attention, your resources, your strength, your knowledge, your know-how, your ability, your skill, your everything you have got, you will succeed, you will achieve, you will enquire what your heart and soul crave for, ask for, is hungry for, is starving for.

Try it for yourself and then see, the rewards will be satisfying beyond measure, beyond your wildest dreams and wishes. There is no gratification more rewarding than that of earning the fruits and enjoying them of your very labour, of you being grateful and appreciative of the process and seeing something you have worked for and on for too long and for too hard, come to completion.
