Promises...
I
have always been wondering...
When
we get married, how far can our promises go?
When
we trust someone, do they deserve our trust?
When
we promised someone who we got married to, that we would stay with
them for as long as they live, and then, we find somebody else.
How
much weight does our promise have?
Would
we ignore the person and would we put ourselves first? Our needs? Our
wants? Our desires?
What
would the promises be there for, then? If not for keeping them? For
keeping our word?
Where
it the line that draws what is acceptable and what is not acceptable?
Where
is the boundary? And who states them?
Have
your trust been ever betrayed? By a friend? By someone you love and
adore? What did you do? What would you do, now?
Would
you think of a situation differently if that happened to you? If that
happened to someone you love? If that happened to your friend? If
that happened to some stranger you do not know at all?
Does
it depend on each situation? If both parties are involeved? If both
parties feel the very same? What if the children are involved? Would
you put them first? Or would you look after your very own needs and
wants and desires first and foremost?
Does
an unconditional love really exist?
Does
an unconditional friendship really exist?
If
so, we should always be there for the other, we should not cheat on
our loved ones, we should put them first, we should stay there with
them, no matter what, if sick or happy or ill or successful, or
stressed or lonely or just simply alone – feeling alone, and make
them feel the other way, around!!
That
is why and what our promises are here for.... in my opinion!!
Thank
you for reading and your time, as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
